black and white kitchen cabinets

Usage of black with white is possibly the oldest and still one of the best color patterns known to mankind. However, even today it leaves a elegant feel when viewed.

Black cabinets in the kitchen alternating with white marble sounds and am sure is classy to look at. I would still not prefer it the usual chessboard manner. In fact, i'd like to see strips of Black and White alternating giving this feeling of emptiness to the kitchen walls and contrasting it with stainless steel kitchen appliance might just steal the show for my newly built kitchen.
Although, I'd like to specially know more about what has been mentioned in para 3 where hue , placement and relative size can make the kitchen look bigger.

Now that's something I'd like to explore further.

I intend to give my kitchen a contemporary look, without loosing the touch of class and eloquence at the same time.
