Let’s face it, the person who decided to put a potato in a vat of grease was a genius. I used to fry foods in the iron skillet I inherited from my Grandmother. But then my husband bought me the two basket fryer. Not only is it easier for clean-up, I love that I can simultaneously cook the french fries and the chicken. We use our fryer mostly on the weekends to cook everything from sweet treats like donuts, to savory like spicy buffalo wings and hush puppies. Our fryer also has the filtration system which makes clean-up better, but my son jokes that he misses getting the occasionally donut bit with his fried chicken.
