Favorite Kitchen Table

I was recently on a tour of a luxury apartment which had been decorated by local interior designers and tour tickets were sold for charity. All of the items in the apartment were top-of-the-range and many of them were unique items including pieces of furniture that really were individual works of art. The kitchen table was possibly my favorite thing in the apartment. The tabletop itself was made of wood and the shape was very natural, as if it had been sliced and polished from a large piece of driftwood, or something of that idea. In the center of the table there was a fixed centrepiece made of raw amethyst crystals, sticking up from the centre as if in a rock formation. I loved the juxtaposition of the dark, rough wood with the harsh shiny crystals and thought it would make a fantastic talking point with guests.
