I got a food dehydrator for Christmas and love it

I received a food dehydrator as a Christmas present from work one year and I thought it was a terrible gift. But once I started using it I couldn't believe how much fun it could be. I really enjoy making dehydrated meats but I've found that the most practical use has got to be for dehydration of fruits. This can be a really tricky process since each fruit has an optimal way to be cut and an optimal time for dehydrating, but with a little bit of trial and error it is always possible to get great dried fruit from just about any fruit out there
