I hate electric cooktops

Great article. I hate electric cooktops, by the way. Cooking on an electric cooktop is like cooking on a camp stove. Electric cooktops heat the food too quickly and the cook has very limited control with them. My ideal cooking appliance would have a gas cooktop and an electric oven (precisely for the ease of cleaning which the author mentions). But you can certainly find some very beautiful electric ovens – I’m not disputing that. I guess the ideal kitchen would have a gas cooktop, an electric oven and a grill! (With a hibachi hood, of course.) The idea of buying an electric stove for $2,500 freaks me out …
